Symptoms may not show up immediately after the initial impact, and can last for days, weeks, and sometimes longer. Symptoms of mTBI can include (but are not limited to):
- Headache or “pressure in head”
- Feeling “in a fog”
- Nausea or vomiting
- Dizziness or balance problems
- Fatigue
- Blurry vision
- Sensitivity to light/ sounds
- Cognitive deficiencies

Unlike cuts and fractures, brain injury is invisible. Oftentimes, parents, teachers, coaches, and physicians cannot “see” your symptoms, and lack the understanding of how this “invisible injury” can affect your daily life . Remember that you are not alone, and that the changes in the way you feel can be due to the brain injury.
